I’m no pro with html and can use all the help that I can get. Learning how to customize CSS on this website has been one of my challenges.
Fortunately, I follow some people who are much brighter than me via @twitter and through website subscriptions.
One of these very bright individuals is @kristarella who has a beautiful website and posted an excellent video on How to Use Firefbug For CSS.
I think that this video should help explain how to solve a lot of problems that you may experience with your website. I spend a lot of time trying to customize CSS and html. I’ve found this tutorial to be very helpful.
I’m using The Thesis Themes and Kristarella is one of the pros who helps on the support side of for this excellent blog theme.
I’ve embedded the video below but before you view it you may want to make sure that you have the the tools you need to follow Kristarella’s advice:
The Firefox web browser- I only use internet explorer to check out how less fortunate individuals who haven’t yet discovered firefox are seeing my web page. You have to have it to use firebug.
The Firebug plugin- Besides liking their logo, I like the fact that you can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live on any web page that you’re viewing from your browser.
The Thesis Theme - Actually, you can follow the advice given on the video without using the theme, but if you’re serious about customizing your website using a wordpress blog theme this is a real time saver.
