How Do I speed Up My Computer? Most of us want to get things done as quickly as possible when we’re using our computer.speedy computer

This is especially true when you’re running an internet business.  You need to get the fastest production possible. To do this, you need the tools, resources and right equipment for running your internet business  quickly and smoothly.

In this article I’ll give you a few practical resources and tips for navigating the internet and running a business from home in a more efficient manner.

My last article dealt with the same issues since I showed you how to block adds using gmail. I have also mentioned in the past that I use a Linux Ubuntu operating system and I also love My new IMac. But I started off using Windows. Since the majority of readers are still using windows I’m going to concentrate on it.

Just a few free tools that I prefer for speedier internet business operations:

Firefox- I stopped using internet explorer a long time ago

Gmail- Great for organizing your email and contacts

Lastpass- I really like this tool for remembering passwords and filling in forms

Jing- This is not essential but it’s one of my favorites since it’s free, fast and easy to use for capturing images and making short videos

The Google Pack- Which includes Google Docs, Picasa, Skype, adobe reader and the Google toolbar

I have a whole Page of Internet Business Resources Here (Most of them are free)

How To Speed Up your Computer for Free

There are a lot of things you can do to speed up your computer at no cost. These tips are the basics for speeding up your computer:

  1. De-fragment your hard-drive-Try the free auslogics defragger- http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag
  2. Use Disk Clean-up- This will really make a big difference.
  3. Clear the Prefetch data- the computer makes copies of a lot of programs used in the prefatch folder so that it can be accessed later on, but overtime, these files become useless and are left there with no use. You don’t need them so clear them out.
  4. Clean out the Recent Documents Folder- This is a simple but effective step for reducing clutter on your hard drive.
  5. Increase your virtual memory- We could all use a boost in our memory capacity.
  6. Use a lighter anti virus and anti spyware programs. I use ESET Nod. See my resources page for  a few free lightweight programs.
  7. Get rid of any programs that you don’t need or use – If you dont use it, delete it.

If you don’t know how to perform these operations, don’t worry, I found an informative article at Xoomba that describes in detail how to speed up your computer for free using the tips described above.

Well, this  was a quick post. Speed is the name of the game today. Don’t forget to subscribe to this blog for more great internet business tips.
