Promoting My Business, Purpose & Lifestyle Change

Today as part of the 31 Days to a better blog [Day #3 - 31DBBB] I’ll not just be promoting a specific post on this website. I’ll be promoting the purpose of this website. This post has everything to do with your business, why having purpose in your business is important, and the lifestyle change that can occur as a result of having passion in your business.

One of the most popular posts on the website is entitled Having Purpose in Business will Change Your Lifestyle. This article also includes a list on the importance of having purpose in business and how to apply it to your practices on the internet.

In addition to suggesting that you view this article I’m including a list of  Ways To Promote a Blog Post and what I did to complete these taskss. These recommendations comes from Darren Rowse from his article on Promoting a Post on your Website

How To Promote a Blog Post

Pitching Other Bloggers -  I began by asking some of my friends to consider linking to my post. I asked 3 bloggers to consider doing this.

Social Messaging - This was easy, Using Ping.fm I sent out a link to my blog post to several social messaging sites including Twitter, Facebook, Mashable and others . Here’s the message that I sent:     Does you Life or Business have Purpose? Do you need a lifestyle change? Get some great advice @ http://www.reallifepurpose.com/having-purpose-in-business-will-change-your-lifestyle/

Social Bookmarking - I submitted link similar to the ones above one Digg  and StumbleUpon:  Does Your Life Or Business Have Purpose? Do You need a Lifestyle Change? Get some great advice on purpose, Internet business success and lifestyle change here

Internal Links - As you can see I’ve added a few links such as this the following one in this post.http://www.reallifepurpose.com/having-purpose-in-business-will-change-your-lifestyle/. The post is already one of the most popular articles on this website and is listed on the sidebar under “popular posts”

Newsletters -If you’re on my mailing list then you have already received a link to the post via aweber ora  Rss feed

Other Blogs Comments Sections and Forums – I’ll be submitting this as a comment on my favorite blogs

Email Signatures - I found a post that tells you How to add a feedburner feed into your email signature. It doesn’t work for gmail but both the author and feedburner gives you some options to make it work with gmail.

Followup Posts - I’ll have to follow-up on this task

Advertise Your Post- Actually I’m paying for ads to a few other posts, So I am not going to advertise this one.

Pitch Mainstream Media – If you would like to feature my post with the media, including newspapers  magazines, or television news,  please send an e-mail to advertising@reallifepurpose.com

Article Marketing - I am rewriting the article for ezinearticles.com

You’ll notice that I didn’t do all above tasks, I didn’t go for the overkill and complete all of the above tasks. That’s not the purpose of of this article. The purpose is to a least start promoting somewhere or some way. Especially if you’,ve never promoted a blog post.

Can You Think of Other Ways To Promote A Blog Post?
