I started manually adiding links to some of my previous posts. However, after researching different tools and wordpress plugins that are available to make the task of interlinking posts and keywords easier I came up with quite a list. In addition to being useful to your readers, many of these plugins will also save you a great amount of time, help with SEO, and makeit easier to add outbound or affiliate links to your website, and increase page views..
Plug-ins that Interlink Blog Posts
Related posts plugin – This is by far one of the most useful and easiest to use plugin on my list. You’ll see it in action at the bottom of this article. Related posts adds a list of posts that are related to the article based on keywords or the tags that you are using in your current blog post. For example if I include the tag “wordpress plug-ins” in this article. It will automatically recommend posts that are related by searching for the same tag in my other post.
Popular Posts This is another must have plug-in. I’m using it on my sidebar. It simply provides a list.s my most visited or “popular” posts. There’s a lot of options including matching posts, categories, tags, and authors. You can also set it to display as many posts as you like. I’m using the widget at 10. You can also display it after your posts or in your RSS feeds.
The same author also has these related plug-ins Similar Posts, Recent Posts, Random Posts, , and Recent Comments
Cross-linker Automatically set up links by creating relationships of certain keywords. You have complete control of how you want to set up each term. Set up connections to URLs. You can set up one active url per keyowrd.
Link Harvest and Popularity Contest In addition to Alex King’s popular “Share This” plug-incomes “Popularity contest” which does essentially the same thing as the popular post plugin. He also has released a new plugin called Link Harvest. This plugin which is a little bit more complicated will go through all of your posts and pages and compile a list of all external links. It will even create a linkroll for you based on your actual linking activity.
Faq- Tastic Easily build an FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section on your WordPress site. I’m still experimenting with this plug-in but it shows a lot of potential. There are obviously big plans for it since the authors have divided the plug in up to faq-tastic lite and faq-tastic pro.
FAQ-tastic plug-in (requires e-mail address)
Related Websites- This is a great tool for link to other peoples posts. It does exactly what it says, It will show a link to someone eles pos/ website on a related topic that you’re writing about. l It’s sort of like using one of those link building websites (google frowns on them) but it’s a lot better.
A-links A lot of times the simpliest pulgin is the best choice. Try this out for easily linking a keyword to a URL
Plug ins that add affiliate Affiliate links
Although I’m not using these plug-in they could be very useful it you concentrate on adding affiliate links to your blog posts.
Clickbank Hopad Builder- This plug in will add your clickbank affiliate number along with hop ad links to your blog. It’s reccomended by clickbank.
WP-Affiliate- You can add Commision Junction affiliate links to your posts
WP Affiliate Pro This is one of the many clickbank products that adds affiliate links to your website.
