Increasing the Amount of Content on Your Blog

You may have heard the phrase “content is king”. If you increase the amount of content on your website you will increase the amount of traffic to your website.

More Content on your blog means more people will visit your website

But how do you increase the amount of content on your blog?

To increase the amount of content you have on your blog here are a few tips:

Check your stats: I use Google analytics. This free tool will let you know how many visitors are coming to you site and more importantly, which s articles they are viewing and which links they are clicking on. Review the comments from your visitors. What are they saying? Are there any positive comments that suggest content that you can do more of? Are your visitors displeased with anything? Review the comments do more of the things that trigger positive responses. You may get a few more ideas for blog posts from the comments, just make sure that you write about things that you are passionate about. If you don’t know much about a given topic you can either research it and write about what you’ve learned or else ignore topics that are not appropriate for your blog or chosen niche.

Research trends: Speaking of trends, “Google Trends” at http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends tells you what keywords people are searching for on a daily basis.This can prove to be very helpful when trying to increase the amount of content on your blog.
One more piece of advice would be to write more often. For example if you are currently writing one blog post per week you may choose to write two or three times a week. It obvious, the more you write, the more content you will have on you blog.
