Having Purpose in Business will Change Your Lifestyle

What Drives Your Desire for Lifestyle Change?

Having purpose will change your life

So many people come to internet marketing with one goal at the forefront of their mind – to make money.  This is certainly a fine ambition, but it won’t get you anywhere on its own.  I know this is a blunt way to put it, but if you just have a goal of “making money”, you won’t get anywhere.  Why?  The goal is too vague.
The question becomes, why do you want to make money?  What is it in life that drives that desire?  Do you want to:

•    Leave your day job
•    Send your kids to college
•    Travel the world
•    Buy a house
•    Move out to the country
•    Retire in style
•    Buy that fancy car you have always wanted
•    Buy a cottage by the lake
•    Fill in the blank _______________________

You need to capture one or more of your dreams and make it a long term or even short term goal, something to aim toward.  Of course, some of our dreams are wants (which we all have) and some are purpose-driven.
There is more to life than just figuring out what our dreams are.  Every person has been put on this earth to fulfill a purpose, to somehow contribute to life on this planet and to somehow give to others.

You might find your vision and your purpose are aligned with each other.
For instance, you might have a dream of learning all about eco-living and to buy a farm on which you can establish an environment of self-sustainable, earth-friendly living.  Then you will open it up as a retreat center so that you can teach others and help them reconnect with themselves and the earth.  Your dream of buying a farm is in line with your purpose in life.

How do you define “purpose”?

I googled “purpose” and came up with these definitions of purpose on the Web:

* an anticipated outcome that is intended or that guides your planned actions;

* determination: the quality of being determined to do or achieve something; firmness of purpose; “his determination showed in his every movement”; “he is a man of purpose”
* reach a decision; “he resolved never to drink again”

* Purpose in its most general sense is the anticipated aim which guides action. It is used as the synonym of goal and objective.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purpose

* An object to be reached; a target; an aim; a goal; A result that is desired; an intention; The act of intending to do something; resolution; determination; The subject of discourse; the point at issue; The reason for which something is done, or the reason it is done in a particular way; Have …

What are the Benefits of Real Life Purpose?

Having purpose can change your Lifestyle and contribute to your overall success in Life. Just look at some of the perks of purpose:
•    Purpose gives meaning to your life.
•    Purpose simplifies your life.
•    Purpose focuses your life.
•    Purpose motivates your life.
•    Purpose prepares you for eternity.
•    Purpose provides Real Life Success

The Purpose Driven Life

Do you have a desire and good reason to get to that successful place in life that you’ve been anticipating? Do you have other goals besides just monetary goals in your business?

Rick Warren wrote one of the best selling books of all time called “The Purpose Driven Life”. I highly recommend it because, besides the Bible,  it is the basis of my life, internet business, ministry, and also this website.

Although his book comes from a Christian perspective, he covers 5 crucial points in his book.

1.    Worship – Have passion for what is most important to you
2.    Fellowship – The importance of being with the right people
3.    Discipleship –  Be in a constant state of growth, self-improvement, and learning
4.    Service – Serve humanity in your own unique way
5.    Mission – Reach out to others

Internet Business With Purpose

I would like to apply these principles to having an Internet Business with Purpose:

  • The first purpose is “Finding your passion and the right market “. It is most commonly known as “How to find your niche”. I am writing a book on this topic.
  • Purpose 2- Starting your site and building the basic content to launch.
  • Purpose 3- Growing your traffic and your list
  • Purpose 4- Promotion and relationship building with potential partners, your visitors, and your subscribers.
  • Purpose 5- Monetizing with your own product, someone else’s product, or selling advertising.

Got Purpose?

So do you have purpose when it comes to your internet business? If so, can you honestly answer yes to the questions below?

  • Are you anticipating a successful outcome in your internet business? Are your plans and actions helping you to achieve that goal?
  • Are you “determined” to achieve success in your business no matter what obstacles will come your way?
  • Are your goals and objectives pointing you towards the outcome that you desire? Are your everyday activities taking you one step closer to your target?

Having Purpose in your Internet Business will change your Lifestyle

Having purpose will determine your success in all areas of your life.  Purpose in business will have it’s best foundation if you practice it in every area of your personal life.  “Practice what you preach” is a worthy quote. I know a few well known speakers who speak on family values yet their marriage is on the rocks and their kids are on drugs.

Don’t fall into this trap. If you have purpose in Life it will be easy to apply this to your business. That’s the goal of this website. It is my desire that you will achieve real business success with life purpose. If you do, it’ll change your life.

Interesting you’d post something like that yesterday. I started getting an itch about my site yesterday… It’s over a year old now, and I’m rapidly convincing myself that it’s time to undertake a massive redesign of the site, including a more intelligent restructurization of all the content.

Right now, the site’s a jumbled mess of faith, Thesis, and so on. Visitors wanting to learn more about the Scriptures are bombarded by geeky tips for Thesis, and vice versa.

But over the past half a year, the whole world of blogging has changed for me, but I’ve been blogging as I always have… I need to “reboot” with purpose, I suppose, fully making use of what I now know.
