Are You Really all Alone?

Have you ever wanted to know if a website, link or server that you visited is really working?
Is it just you that the link isn’t working for?

If you’re having problems accessing your email account online is it just happening to you or to everyone else on the internet.

Yes, it’s true. It could be a problem on your end….

or it could be a problem with a server being down, high traffic, slow or connection speeds on the part of the website that you are trying to access.

Am I Alone?

Am I Alone?

I counsel people who are experiencing problems in life. The majority of time if someone is experiencing a problem they are amazed to find out that many other people are experiencing the same problem.

Is it so amazing that the same thing is happening to a LOT of other people?

There is even a verse in the Bible that says that “No temptation has seized you except what is common to man”.

That means that there are a lot of other people in the boat as you.

Here are a few tools that I have found that could be useful for finding out if it’s just you or if the problem is happening to many other internet users.

Website Pulse

I just wrote an article on how I did the research for the ping services that I have included in my Complete Ping List For Blogs

I used this free tool to test the ping services but it is useful for a lot more applications:

Network -Tools

LifeHacker provides this article called Ping Servers from the Firefox Address Bar

They basically tell you that you need to go to http://network-tools.com/

Network-Tools allows you to trace routes, Ping, check Domain Name Servers, lookup DNS and check WHOIS information.

Down For Everyone or Just Me

Another tool/service that is convenient is called Down For Everyone or Just Me.

The name says it all. Is it just happening to me or to everyone else?

All you have to do is enter the name of the site into the box  and you’ll get instant results.

Is it Just Me?

Is it Just Me?

I’m Glad I’m NOT Alone

Like I said, often times we think that we are the only ones experincing a problem. Now you have the tools you need to actually check it out.

You’ll be surprised to know that, often times, others are experincing the same problem as you.
