In December of 2007 I made a radical decision that changed my life financially.

You see, I have been a missionary to Mexico for over 20 years now. Missionaries are supposed to be poor.

That’s what I believed. But then I got tired of not having the finances to be able to accomplish the goals and/or the visions that I had for my life and ministry.

I read the Book “Think and Grow Rich” By Napoleon Hill.

As I read the book I was asked the question, “What Would I do if I had a Million Dollars?” That was easy for me. (How would you spend a million dollars?) I would use the money to accomplish the ministry goals that I had set for my life. Here’s one of my posts from my missions websites that I wrote- What would you do if you had a million dollars?

I decided that 2008 would be the year that marked a financial change in my life. My internet marketing journey also began In 2008. Since that time I HAVE made money on the internet. The book, Think and Grow Rich was a pivot-able part in my journey from being a poor missionary to having the money money to being able to accomplish the goals and purpose for my life that I desire.

Here are some of the points from the preface of the book:

Mr. Carnegie gives you a fair idea of what the reading of this book may bring to you,.. BUR… You must KNOW WHAT IT IS THAT YOU WANT.
A clergyman used it so effectively that it brought him an income of upwards of $75,000.00 a year. I’m believing to bring ina million dollars a year.
There is no such thing as SOMETHING FOR NOTHING! It takes work.
As a final word of preparation, before you begin the first chapter, may I offer one brief suggestion which may provide a clue by which the Carnegie secret may be recognized? It is this- ALL ACHIEVEMENT, ALL EARNED RICHES, HAVE THEIR BEGINNING IN AN IDEA!

One of my Favorite quotes in the entire book is this:

WHEN RICHES BEGIN TO COME THEY COME SO QUICKLY, IN SUCH GREAT ABUNDANCE, THAT ONE WONDERS WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN HIDING DURING ALL THOSE LEAN YEARS.
