Block Gmail Ads with this Firefox Addon

by Greg Nemer

A new addon for Gmail was just developed. It makes it possible to block Gmail ads and also to customize your Gmail to look exactly like you want it too.

This is a free resource and I thought that you’d enjoy using it.

You can download it for free at The Minimalist Gmail Firefox Extension.

There are screen shots on the download page for this extension but I thought you’d like to see a screen shot of how I’ve customized mine.

This extension is the result of a popular blog post by Leo Babauta called creating a Minimalist Gmail experience.  Leo is also the author of the Popular Free Ebook “How I got 100,000 subscribers in 2 years” located at A list Blogging Bootcamps.

After reading Leo’s post, greasemonkey scripts, programmer and artist Matt Constantine worked hard to create this amazing Firefox extension.

I hope you enjoy this addition to your firefox and gmail experience. I’m sure Google’s not too happy about it.
