Display Social Feeds in Your Blog Posts

Have you ever wanted to display your social streams like  twitter, facebook, youtube or even flckr in your blog posts?

I found this really neat plugin called lifestream and it’ll easy enable you to display social feeds in your blog posts.

It’s easy to install and easy to customize. The feature that I really like about the plugin is that it enabled me to easily find my user id’s and rss feed addresses for the different social networks by actually giving me a tool or telling me how to do it.

Lifestream displays your social feeds and photos much like you would see it on many of the social networking sites.

You can get more information and download it for free at http://www.ibegin.com/labs/wp-lifestream/

So how do you add the feeds to your blog posts?

It’s super easy:

  1. Download and unzip the plugin
  2. Upload the plugin to your wordpress theme and activate it
  3. Customize the rss  and social id’s that you want to show in your posts.
  4. Add a simple code that says “lifestream” to your post using the normal context handler [ ]

There are also other great possibilities such as adding an entire lifestream page or placing your feeds on a sidebar. You can even create your own page template

More installation instructions can be found on lifestreams download and information page.
